#GooglePlusUpdates #Twitter Hashtags in #G+ #Tweetdiner example

GooglePlus is still getting an indifferent reception!

Let me start by saying that Google has not nailed GooglePlus or Google+ or G+ or whatever and is now facing an uphill battle.  With that said I’m still an advocate of the longer-term potential of Google+ and adore certain features like #Hangouts.

While exploring some brand new “Hangouts with extras” I noticed that the hashtag #GooglePlusUpdate was clickable.  About time Google! Making Hashtags clickable into their own stream is a very important feature which I worte about way back when on 12 Most Important Things Google Must Get Right With Google+. Guess what? Mashable agrees with me that Hashtags increase the intelligence of the web!

Tell me what you think?!!

Is GooglePlus going to take off in your mind?  Do hashtags really make a difference?  Does anyone actually eat pie during #Tweetdiner? Please leave me a comment!!!!

Nice work Josepf. This is a very interesting post – I’ve often wondered the same. I know you are a huge fan of #Hangouts. Something I’ve been pondering. I believe the tags make a difference overall.

I have really found a unique fit with Google+ and really enjoy the community that is building there. For me its different from other social media channels and that’s a boon. The fact that they have a link and a truly functional way of feedback and that they continually deliver innovations makes me think long-term, Google+ will be here to stay. Oh, and I love hangouts too!

I really love the features of Google+ and I am having a great fun there! For me, it is similar to Facebook, but I am more fascinated here.

I just started using G+|, and I still have a lot to learn about the site itself. But so far, I find it a bit okay.
